June 11 (UPI) — Jameela Jamil is set to star in Marvel’s forthcoming She-Hulk show on Disney+.
The actress will depict supervillain Titania who, like She-Hulk, also possesses super power.
Jamil unites a cast that contains Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) from the title role, along with Mark Ruffalo coming as Hulk, Tim Roth returning as celebrity Abomination, Ginger Gonzaga and Renée Elise Goldsberry.
Kat Coiro (Dead to Me, Modern Family) is directing the pilot and several different episodes. Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) is serving as lead author.
She-Hulk will accompany Maslany’s Jennifer Walters, who in the pages of Marvel Comics is an attorney who increases powers after receiving a blood transfusion from her uncle, Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner.
Jamil is best known for portraying Tahani Al-Jamil on NBC’s The Good Place and hosts The Misery Index on TBS.
